Southbound Hwy 99 open after truck catches fire

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Southbound Highway 99 is open Wednesday morning after a white pickup truck caught fire. According to the California Highway Patrol, the truck caught fire just before 7 a.m. after a tire blow out. All lanes are now open.
