INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indiana Black Expo’s 2026 Music Heritage Festival outdoor concert brought crowds to the Indiana University Michael A. Carroll Track and Soccer Stadium last Friday as part of Summer Celebration.

The concert at 1001 W. New York St. in Indianapolis featured Kem, King George, October London — returning home to Indiana — and the legendary Midnight Star. The lineup delivered a mix of classic funk, smooth R&B and southern soul, keeping fans dancing and singing along through the night.

The Music Heritage Festival is one of Summer Celebration’s marquee events, drawing audiences of all ages and highlighting Black music and culture on a big stage in downtown Indianapolis.
