'Everything was gone, destroyed': Germantown first responders recount their apartments flooding

Assistant Fire Chief Crystal Kilmer and Fire Chief Phil Salvatore of Germantown's two separate apartments in the same building had completely flooded. Four and a half feet of water had filled the home, rising above the countertops. Appliances including the refrigerator and belongings rose to the top of the water. They had only lived in this building since December.
