Hurricane brings life-threatening surf to San Diego coast

Hurricane Genevieve is bringing life-threatening surf and rip currents to San Diego and Baja California, following a weekend where lifeguards performed hundreds of rescues. A high surf advisory and coastal flood risk will remain in effect through Saturday night. Additionally, an extreme heat warning and heat advisory will affect various regions of San Diego County starting Friday.
