Family of Savannah State baseball player raises safety concerns over unmarked cars near home
On July 3, 22-year-old Savannah State baseball player Johan Sandoval was detained at his fiancée's mother's apartment in Clifton Park. This all stemmed from a paperwork error when he was transferring schools from Bryant and Stratton College to Savannah State. The schools and the federal organization SEVIS did not keep his documents in status. Sandoval was recently released from detention on a $20,000 bond, and is required to wear an ankle monitor, but the family says unmarked cars have continued to circle their home.
