Eric Dane’s Friends Slam ‘Exploitation’ of Intimate Past After His Death: ‘This Is Not a Tribute’

After Eric Dane’s death earlier this month from ALS, an old sex tape has reared its ugly head and it’s infuriating his friends.

In 2009, an intimate video of him, his wife Rebecca Gayheart and another woman made headlines. The tape quickly made the rounds and dominated headlines, but now, a source tells Rob Shuter’s Naughty or Nice Substack that there are rumors of “viewing parties.”

“This is not a tribute. It’s exploitation,” a longtime friend of the former Grey’s Anatomy star told the outlet on Monday, March 2. “Eric owned his past. That doesn’t mean the world gets to feast on it after he’s gone.”

Dane had previously spoken about the sex tape in past interviews.
