‘Dateline’ Reportedly May Cover Nancy Guthrie’s Disappearance But ‘Only If Savannah Is Comfortable’

NBC has shown their support for Today anchor Savannah Guthrie since her 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie, went missing — and now they may consider new avenues.

Journalist Rob Shuter reported in a Monday, February 9, post on his Naughty But Nice Substack that a Dateline episode covering Nancy’s disappearance could be considered.

“If it’s done, it would be respectful, fact-based, and approved at the highest levels,” a source said. “And only if Savannah is comfortable.”

“The last thing NBC wants is to look like it’s profiting off Savannah’s pain,” another source said. “That would be unforgivable.”

“This is not just another Dateline story,” a senior source explained. “This is one of our own.”
