22-year-old facing second-degree murder charge from January shooting

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO)-- A man is behind bars in Hughes County, charged in connection with a shooting death in Mission. 22-year-old Brenden Witt is facing a list of charges, including second-degree murder. Court Documents say the shooting happened back on January 30th. Vernon Schmidt was found dead at a home in Mission.
