Woman and boyfriend found dead in Anderson apartment

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Anderson police are investigating the deaths of a woman and her boyfriend, whose bodies were found by her adult children.

On Thursday, officers from the Anderson Police Department were called to an apartment in the 3200 block of Autumn Ridge Drive, just off of State Road 32 and Rangeline Road.

Police say two sisters came to Anderson to check on their mother after not hearing from her for several days. Upon entering the apartment, they found their mother and her boyfriend deceased. Both had been shot once.

Investigators spoke with witnesses and collected two firearms as evidence.

Anderson police did not say if the shooting was a murder-suicide, only that investigators believe it to be “domestic related.”

The Madison County Coroner’s Office will release the names of the deceased once their families have been notified.
