INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Ahead of Sunday’s Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Sports 8’s Angela Moryan caught up with NASCAR driver Ryan Blaney during the first day of practice.

Blaney is in his 11th season with Team Penske, and he is eyeing his first-ever win at the Brickyard. Blaney is currently third in the NASCAR Cup Series standings.

Blaney is currently in the championship round of NASCAR’s in-season challenge, a 32-driver, single-elimination tournament featuring head-to-head, bracket-style matchups across five summer Cup Series races. If Blaney finishes higher than Todd Gilliland in Sunday’s race, he will win a million dollars.
