Authorities have publicly identified five people killed over a four-day span in San Diego County traffic crashes.
The most recent fatality occurred shortly after 12:30 p.m. Saturday when 20-year-old Gabriel Gutierrez collided with an SUV while riding a motorcycle on De Luz Road at Dos Cameos Drive in Fallbrook, where he lived, the county Medical Examiner’s Office said.
Paramedics took Gutierrez to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Earlier that day, a vehicle hit and killed a 41-year-old man in Pacific Beach, according to the county agency. Laqwente Bryant of San Diego was struck on Garnet Avenue near Gresham Street about 2 a.m. Saturday and was pronounced dead at a hospital a short time later, the medical examiner reported.
About 10 p.m. Friday, a westbound car hit 40-year-old Jordan Blechertas on state Route 78 near Birch Avenue in her hometown of Escondido, the medical examiner reported. An ambulance crew took Blechertas to a hospital, where she died.
Several hours earlier, a vehicle struck 27-year-old Benshan Robinson of San Diego on West Mission Road near North Las Posas Road in San Marcos, according to the county agency. Robinson died at the scene of the crash.
