Tennessee bill stiffens sentencing for second-degree murder

A Tennessee bill that would increase minimum sentencing ranges for second-degree murder is now headed to Gov. Bill Lee’s desk, setting up a final decision on a proposal that would do away with the lowest sentencing option currently available to judges.
