Teaneck Police thank Chaverim volunteers for storm assistance

Teaneck, NJ — The Teaneck Police Department expressed its appreciation Monday for Chaverim of Bergen County, crediting the volunteer organization for stepping up to assist both residents and officers during the weekend’s heavy snowstorm.

In a post shared on social media, the department highlighted several incidents where Chaverim members responded to help stranded drivers and emergency vehicles throughout the storm. Volunteers helped free a New Jersey Transit bus that became stuck at Queen Anne Road and State Street and later assisted officers in digging out a patrol car trapped in deep snow on Ayers Court.
