NYPD searches for suspect accused of attacking man boarding a 5 train
NEW YORK, N.Y. — A morning commute turned violent in the Bronx when a man waiting to board a northbound 5 train was slashed in the neck following a dispute on a subway platform, according to the NYPD.
Police said the attack happened at about 8:35 a.m. Sunday at the East 180th Street subway station, within the confines of the 48th Precinct.
Investigators said a 45-year-old man was waiting on the northbound platform when another man pushed him as they were entering the train.
