INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis firefighters are offering a unique camp for kids and teens to learn leadership skills this summer.

Open to children and teens ages 6 to 17, the seven-week program runs June 1 through July 17, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The camp is divided into three age-based tracks: Junior Cadets for ages 6 to 9, Core Cadets for ages 10 to 13, and the high school Cash Club for teens.

Anthony Williamson, a retired Indianapolis Fire Department battalion chief and executive director of the St. Florian Center, and retired firefighter Earl Thompson have spent more than 30 years running the summer camp.
