NEWBURGH, NY — A Lottery player in Newburgh could be holding a winning TAKE 5 ticket after the game’s top-prize-winning ticket for the July 26 evening drawing was sold at a local smoke shop.

The New York Lottery announced the winning ticket was purchased at Smokes 4 Less, located at 59 North Plank Road in Newburgh.

The ticket matched all five winning numbers to capture the top prize of $26,560.

Lottery officials have not announced whether the prize has been claimed.

TAKE 5 drawings are held twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Winners have up to one year from the drawing date to claim their prize.
