Seaford bicyclist killed in hit-and-run as troopers search for fleeing driver

SEAFORD, DE – Delaware State Police say the fatal hit-and-run occurred Friday at about 2:10 p.m. along Woodpecker Road, west of Butler Branch Road. The victim, a Seaford man, was riding eastbound along the south edge of the roadway when an unknown vehicle traveling in the same direction approached and struck him.

The driver did not stop and continued eastbound, leaving the bicyclist critically injured in the roadway. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
