San Diego firefighter who broke the color barrier celebrates 100th birthday 

Alwin Benjamin Holman, the first Black firefighter to join an all-white San Diego fire station, celebrated his 100th birthday on Friday, which was officially declared "Alwin Benjamin Holman Day" by the City of San Diego in honor of his service.
