San Diego-based submarine rescue system cleared for global deployment

The U.S. Navy's Submarine Rescue Diving and Recompression System (SRDRS) has been recertified for full operation after a successful manned dive to 2,000 feet off the coast of San Diego, and is now ready to deploy globally to rescue submarine crews in case of an emergency.
