
Phones snatched in Navy Yard attack as police hunt suspects caught on camera
WASHINGTON, D.C. — A violent street encounter in the Navy Yard left two juveniles injured and without their belongings as suspects carried out a robbery before disappearing into the night.
The incident happened around 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 14 near the intersection of First Street and M Street Southeast.
According to officials, multiple suspects approached the victims and assaulted them before forcibly taking their phones and other personal property.
After the robbery, the group fled on foot.
The victims were treated for minor injuries.
Now, investigators are asking for the public’s help.
Authorities have released images of two suspects believed to be connected to the incident and are urging anyone who recognizes them to come forward.
A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and indictment.
