INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Lori Taylor, founder and CEO of The Produce Moms, has announced a partnership with the Environmental Protection Agency’s “Feed It Onward” initiative to reduce household food waste, which the EPA says costs families more than $50 per week.

The announcement comes during May, which is recognized as both National Salad Month and National Strawberry Month.

The “Feed It Onward” initiative is part of the celebration of America’s 250th birthday. According to the Environmental Protection Agency, the average household wastes more than $50 worth of food each week, highlighting the financial and environmental impact of food loss.
