INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Purdue University’s athletic training program is expanding with a new Master of Science in athletic training degree at the Indianapolis location.
The new program will start in the fall semester with 25 to 30 students. The Purdue Department of Health and Kinesiology will hire three faculty members to be based in Indianapolis.
The Purdue athletic training program has given students opportunities to work with high-level athletic programs at Purdue. In Indianapolis, those opportunities have the potential to grow with the NCAA headquarters near by Purdue University in Indianapolis. There are also professional sports opportunities in the form of the Indianapolis Colts, Indianapolis Indians, Indiana Fever, and Indiana Pacers, the university said in a news release issued Tuesday.
