Washington, DC — A burglary in Southeast Washington has taken an unusual turn after two young puppies were stolen from a home, prompting a public search by police.
The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. April 1 in the 2800 block of Robinson Place Southeast, where a suspect forcibly entered an unoccupied residence.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the suspect took two three-month-old male pitbull puppies before fleeing the scene.
One of the puppies is described as brown, while the other is gray. Images of the puppies have been released as investigators work to locate them.
