INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A 20-foot sculpture of the character Aku is being permanently installed at Hobbs Station on Friday, Feb. 20, 2026, in Plainfield.

The installation, created by internationally recognized artist and author Micah Johnson, will serve as the centerpiece for an upcoming community celebration. The public art project is a collaboration between the Town of Plainfield, New City Development and Hobbs Station.

Aku, a character created by Johnson, tells the story of a young boy who dreams of becoming an astronaut and represents limitless possibility.
