Proposed Decatur Township data center project advances
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A major data center project in Marion County’s Decatur Township is moving forward.
The Metropolitan Development Commission on Thursday advanced a zoning variance petition.
During a commission meeting in the City-County Building, the company behind the proposed data center laid out its plans during the hearing, as people who live in Decatur Township spoke out about how it could impact their community.
Sabey Data Centers of Seattle wants to build a 1 million-square-foot, 250-megawatt data center on a 130 acres near the intersection of Kentucky Avenue and Camby Road in southwest Decatur Township. The township is in southwestern Marion County.
