INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A female pedestrian died Friday night after colliding with an IndyGo bus on North Post Road, police said.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department was called to a crash with serious bodily injury about 8:45 p.m. Friday in the 3800 block of North Post Road. It’s just north of East 38th Street in an area with gas stations and restaurants, and an IndyGo bus stop between the northbound and southbound lanes.

IMPD says the woman crossed the road “midblock,” which is a practice that pedestrians should avoid doing.
