No one hurt after ambulance and firetruck collide in Speedway

SPEEDWAY, Ind. (WISH) — Police say an ambulance crashed into a firetruck on Wednesday evening in Speedway.

According to a release from Speedway Metropolitan Police Department, at approximately 5:20 p.m. officers were called to a property damage accident at the intersection of North High School Road and Schoolwood Drive invloving a Speedway Fire Department firetruck and an Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services (IEMS) ambulance.

Police say preliminary information shows that the ambulance was leaving the area to respond to a separate call for service when it made contact with the firetruck.

The crash caused minor damage to both vehicles.  

No injuries were reported.
