PLAINFIELD, Ind. (WISH) — A shooting took place Saturday afternoon at the GetGo gas station in Plainfield, located on East Main Street.
According to a release from Plainfield police, officers were called to 3061 East Main Street at approximately 1:27 p.m. regarding a reported shooting incident.
After investigating, police determined that a minor vehicle crash had occurred in the parking lot. While the involved parties were exchanging information, one of the individuals retrieved a pistol from his vehicle and discharged the firearm into the air multiple times.
The suspect then reportedly entered the GetGo restroom and discharged the firearm again before
fleeing the area.
Police say a short time later, the suspect was located in Marion County, where he was stopped by police and detained without further incident.
No injuries were reported, and this incident remains under investigation.
