NYPD searching for suspect accused of attacking train conductor at Bronx station

BRONX, N.Y. — Police are searching for a suspect accused of punching an on-duty MTA conductor in the face during a confrontation aboard a northbound 6 train in the Bronx.

According to NYPD Crime Stoppers, the assault happened around 9:17 p.m. Saturday at the 3 Avenue–138 Street subway station within the confines of the 40th Precinct and Transit District 12.

Investigators said the suspect approached the 47-year-old conductor and demanded that the train doors be opened.
