Manchester Mobile Home Park Murderer Gets 10 Years in Prison for Killing Elderly Mother

MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A 45-year-old Manchester man will serve a decade in state prison after admitting to a violent attack that left his 71-year-old mother with a fractured skull and other serious injuries, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced.

Joseph Cavallaro was sentenced Thursday to 10 years in New Jersey State Prison following his guilty plea to attempted murder, with the term subject to the No Early Release Act requiring him to serve at least 85% before parole eligibility.
