INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis police were investigating after a man was shot by his wife while their two children were inside their southwest side home.

Just after 12:30 a.m. Monday, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to a shooting at a home on West Caven Street. That’s near Minnesota Street and South Lynhurst Drive, not far from I-70.

Officers arrived and found the victim, who had been shot at least once. He was said to be in critical condition when transported to a hospital.

IMPD says the man’s wife was “cooperative” with investigators. She was released pending further investigation.

The couple’s two children were not hurt. Police did not say if they witness...
