Man pepper-sprayed on Bronx 2 train near 225th Street as suspect flees station

BRONX, NY — A 27-year-old man was pepper-sprayed during a dispute aboard a northbound 2 train early Monday as it approached the East 225th Street station, and the attacker fled on foot, according to the NYPD.

The assault happened around 12:30 a.m. in the confines of the 47th Precinct and Transit District 12, where police say an unidentified individual confronted the victim before spraying him in the face.

Suspect fled after attack

According to NYPD Crimestoppers, the incident began as a verbal dispute between the two individuals while the train was nearing the station.
