INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Old Major Market, a local specialty meat provider, will celebrate its 10th anniversary by kicking off the summer farmers market season May 2.

The company also announced its annual Free Bacon for a Year contest, which will run throughout the season. Customers can enter at the Old Major Market booth at any participating market. The winner will be selected in a random drawing at the end of the season.

Old Major Market plans to attend eight farmers markets across central Indiana this summer, offering a range of products.

Owner Mark LaFay said planning for the season begins as soon as the previous one ends, adding that as soon as farmers market season ends, the company immediately begins planning and executing for the next year.
