House sends IPS bill to governor

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indiana Senate on Wednesday sent new requirements for Medicaid and SNAP, formerly known as food stamps, to Gov. Mike Braun for his approval into law.

The bill is meant to align the state’s requirements for Medicaid and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program with the new rules in the federal One Big Beautiful Act.

The House approved the measure 62-31 earlier this week. Braun has said he will sign Senate Bill 1 into law.
