Gunfire erupts in Queens as suspect flees into residential block

Queens, NY — A late-night burst of gunfire in a residential Queens neighborhood has left police searching for a suspect who fled on foot after firing a weapon.

The incident occurred around 1:20 a.m. April 7 in front of 32-17 51 Street within the confines of the 114th Precinct, according to the NYPD.

Investigators said an unidentified individual discharged a firearm before running from the scene. The suspect was last seen heading toward 31-60 51 Street.

No injuries have been reported, and police have not released a description of the suspect.
