INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Two-time Indy 500 champion Josef Newgarden crashed in Turn 4 on lap 126 during a restart.
During the restart, Newgarden lost control of his car and slammed into the outside wall. The collision ended the race for the 2023 and 2024 Indy 500 winner.
Newgarden was one of nine drivers to not finish the 110th running of the Indianapolis 500, either due to a crash or other mechanical issues with a car.
