Immigration bills dominate much of concluded 2026 Indiana legislative session
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — In some ways, the 2026 legislative session ended as it began: with state lawmakers responding to external forces.
Lawmakers wrapped up on Friday to offset December’s early start to session for the ultimately-unsuccessful effort to redraw Indiana’s congressional district maps.
The General Assembly’s Republican supermajority kept their priorities limited, with just four priority bills in the House and two in the Senate.
