INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers have preliminarily identified a body recovered from water as a missing autistic teenager.

On Dec. 17, 16-year-old Robert “RJ” Williams was reported missing from the 1000 block of Broad Ripple Avenue. That’s right off the Monon Trail Crossing east of Winthrop Avenue.

On Dec. 18, IMPD officers searched the area of Broad Ripple Avenue, where they found Williams’ backpack and gym bag along the White River.
