WESTFIELD, Ind. (WISH) — One of the premiere running backs in the NFL, Falcons RB Bijan Robinson, got paid on Tuesday, signing a three-year deal worth up to $75 million with Atlanta.
Colts running back Jonathan Taylor was asked about Robinson’s deal, and how it could affect him as he is entering the final year on his contract with the Colts.
“I think everybody’s situation is different,” Taylor said. “I’m just happy he got it done. When the young guys are able to secure themselves and their family, I remember that day, it’s a really, really great day. You know there’s still more work to be done, but you know this hard work is paying off and you’re going to continue to work hard, so it’s awesome.”
Taylor shared an update on where his contract talks stand and what he’s been focused on as he enters the final season on his deal.
“I got to go talk to my agent too,” Taylor said. “I got to go talk to him and see where things are at. I’ve been trying to just focus on getting better. Making sure I’m staying in shape. Like I said, I have faith. I’m going to tap in and check in with him.”
