Hamilton man charged with murder after woman found dead in apartment

Authorities say a welfare check led to the discovery of a homicide inside a Hamilton residence.

Hamilton, NJ – A 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the death of his girlfriend inside a Hamilton apartment, Mercer County officials announced.

Carlos Pean, 29, was taken into custody on Friday, March 28, in Tinton Falls by members of the U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Special Investigations Unit. He is charged with first-degree murder, and prosecutors have filed a motion to detain him pending trial.
