Fire Rips Through Woodbridge Apartment Building, Crews Knock Down Flames With No Injuries

WOODBRIDGE, N.J. — Heavy flames tore through the roof of a three-story apartment building at Woodbridge Center Plaza early Saturday, forcing a multi-town fire response before crews brought the blaze under control with no reported injuries, officials said.

Firefighters from Woodbridge, Avenel, and Port Reading were dispatched to Plaza Drive, where they arrived to find significant fire already pushing through the roof of the multi-family structure, according to the Woodbridge Township Professional Firefighters Association.
