Fatal outcome follows chaotic South Baltimore triple shooting

What began as a triple shooting investigation in South Baltimore has now become a homicide case after one of the victims succumbed to his injuries

BALTIMORE, Md. — An early morning shooting in South Baltimore has turned into a homicide investigation after a man who was critically wounded during a burst of gunfire on South Hanover Street died from his injuries, police said.

Baltimore Police announced that the unidentified male victim injured in the shooting was pronounced dead after being transported to a hospital. The victim has since been identified as a 41-year-old man.

The shooting occurred at approximately 2:51 a.m. Saturday in the 1000 block of South Hanover Street.
