Family dog rescued as Stamford firefighters battle two-alarm blaze in freezing conditions

STAMFORD, CT – A family dog was pulled from a burning home and resuscitated by firefighters after a two-alarm blaze erupted Saturday afternoon on Montauk Drive. The dramatic rescue unfolded as bitter cold and thick smoke complicated efforts to contain the fast-moving fire that broke out shortly before 1:40 p.m.
