FISHERS, Ind. (WISH) — Fishers Parks is set to host its free Touch-a-Truck event on May 18, providing children with an opportunity to explore various big rigs.
The event will be 4-7 p.m. at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater, 6 Municipal Drive.
Attendees can expect to see vehicles, including tractors, snowplows, police cars and fire trucks.
The event will feature participation from several city departments, including the Department of Public Works, the Health Department, the Fire Department, and the Police Department. Activities will include live demonstrations, police dog demonstrations, and kids’ activities alongside food vendors.
The Touch-a-Truck event will showcase vehicles from the Fishers AgriPark, including a tractor and transplanter. The Department of Public Works will display paving equipment, an RV mower, a snowplow, a mini excavator, a boom mower, a wheel loader, a backhoe, a concrete truck, a street sweeper, a vac truck, tractors, and mowers.
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office will bring a Tahoe SUV and a pink breast-cancer awareness cruiser.
The Fishers Fire Department will have an engine, ladder, tanker and a rescue support unit.
