Eastman Chemical Company granted an EPA exemption

KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) — Eastman Chemical Company has been granted an exemption from certain federal regulations, the company said on Friday. A final rule put forward by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in 2024 under former President Joe Biden is being lifted for some chemical manufacturers, including Eastman Chemical Company's Kingsport plant, at least temporarily.
