East 71st Street and trail to close for roadwork

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — East 71st Street and the 71st Street trail are scheduled to temporarily close on Monday.

The Indiana Department of Transportation says the closure is due to final improvements on 71st Street under I-465 and the bridges overhead, including painting and paving.

INDOT says the signed detour utilizes 75th Street.

The closure is expected to last for 60 days.
