Cloudy and cooler today, warming right back up for Easter weekend
The first day of April produced another unseasonably warm afternoon with temperatures reaching 80° across much of the area. The official high will be marked as 78° at HIA yesterday afternoon. Showers developed overnight and produced around 0.25" in parts of Lancaster County. The front that brought those showers yesterday has dropped south of Central PA and has taken the warm air with it. Today will be cooler and generally cloudy with an easterly fetch of moisture from the Atlantic Ocean. Temperatures will be stuck in the 50s as gray skies and an east flow dominate. It will be breezy at times with a stray shower, but most of today should remain dry. Tonight will stay cloudy with lows dropping into the 40s.
