Center Grove senior charged with child molestation, solicitation

GREENWOOD, Ind. (WISH) — A Center Grove High School senior has been charged with multiple counts of child molestation, solicitation, and possession of child pornography following a brief investigation last month.

The Johnson County Prosecutor’s Office announced the charges filed against 18-year-old Samuel Erh on Thursday.

Investigation into Erh started in February after a child reported being sexually abused by Erh when he and his family visited Erh’s house.

A probable cause affidavit released to the media Thursday said when speaking with detectives, Erh admitted to abusing the child and documenting the incident.

After speaking with Erh, prosecutors say detectives searched Erh’s phone and found almost 1,000 files showing “pre-pubescent and pubescent” children involved in sexual acts. Detectives noted at least seven different victims present in the material.

Erh was taken into custody on Feb. 26 at Center Grove High School. Prosecutors say he is being held at the Johnson County jail on a $70,000 bond.

Police say they are still working to identify other possible victims. Anyone with information was asked to contact the Greenwood Police Department.
