Car strikes woman riding scooter on Indianapolis southwest side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A woman was struck by a car Monday afternoon while riding a scooter on Indy’s southwest side, police say.

Just after 2:30 p.m., police were called to the intersection of Kentucky Avenue and South High School Road on reports of a pedestrian struck.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department told News 8 they arrived to find a woman who had been struck by a car. She was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Police say the driver of the car stayed at the scene and is cooperating with police.
