Brazen shoplifters caught on camera during daytime theft in downtown DC

Police release surveillance images after suspects walked out of Northwest retail store without paying

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Metropolitan Police are searching for two suspects accused of carrying out a daytime retail theft inside a Northwest Washington store before fleeing with stolen merchandise.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the theft happened around 11:07 a.m. March 30 in the 600 block of 13th Street Northwest.

Investigators said two suspects entered the retail store, selected items and left the business without paying.

Police said the suspects fled the area after taking the merchandise.
